Equally at home in commercial, domestic or educational environments, CommBOX allows all control functions of your presentation or entertainment environment to be integrated into a single controller. With a simple user interface the system can be programmed to fulfil basic control of lighting, audio and presentation equipment or if desired, more complex routines can be carried out without affecting the simplicity of operation. Just imagine, with one touch of a control button you could start a presentation from scratch: close curtains, dim lights, bring down projection screen, switch on projector, start DVD and set volume levels. Any combination of activities is possible! The system can even switch itself off after you leave the room.

CommBOX Control Unit

The Control Unit is used as the central connection point for everything that needs to be controlled. The main unit incorporates a high quality audio amplifier and numerous, varied switching circuits. Depending on the connection features of the device to be controlled, CommBOX can effect control through relay switching, RS-232 or infra red.

No matter how basic or complex the system, it can be operated by any of these control devices or by a combination of two or more.

For example; the Joey can be used on it's own as a customised universal remote control and as such is perfect for home entertainment sytems. However, it can also be used to control a comprehensive boardroom installation insted of, or in addition to, say, the DaVinci touchscreen, which also displays video.

The Modular Switcher can be used where a number of different sources are required to connect to one display device. For example, a boardroom meeting where the participants all need to connect their laptops to a single projector and make their presentations in turn.

The ability of CommBOX is virtually unlimited. Reprogramming to faciltate upgraded or additional devices is easy and inexpensive but the really magical feature is the overall system price which is significantly lower than competing products like AMX and Crestron.
